Guru GPT

What is Guru GPT?
Guru GPT is Guru’s integration with OpenAI’s ChatGPT that makes your company’s internal knowledge instantly accessible in ChatGPT conversations. Once connected, ChatGPT uses your company’s information that’s stored in Guru and synced from tools like Salesforce, Gong, Asana, and more, alongside external knowledge, to deliver accurate, contextual answers to your team’s questions.
Whether you’re answering a prospect’s question, looking up policy details, or drafting product copy, Guru GPT helps you retrieve and use trusted information—all without leaving ChatGPT.
How it works
Connect Guru to ChatGPT
Users log into ChatGPT and authenticate their Guru account. Once authenticated, Guru GPT becomes available as a GPT within ChatGPT.
Ask questions, get company-specific answers
In a ChatGPT conversation, users type a natural-language prompt. Guru GPT instantly searches across the Guru content they have access to, surfaces the five most relevant pieces, and combines them with ChatGPT’s intelligence to generate a complete, contextualized response tailored to your organization’s knowledge, tone, and workflows.

Draft knowledge in real time

Why it matters
Work faster, stay in flow
No more switching tabs, messaging coworkers, or sifting through search results. Guru GPT meets your team in ChatGPT, delivering verified answers where work is already happening.
Use your knowledge, your way
Guru GPT customizes answers using your company’s specific information—from HR policies to technical specs—so your team gets responses they can trust and act on.
One chat, all your tools
Search across multiple sources at once—Guru Cards, synced data from apps like Salesforce and Gong, and more—through one familiar interface.
Turn insights into knowledge
Turn a ChatGPT conversation into a new Guru Card in seconds. That means less duplicated work and more up-to-date knowledge that compounds over time.
Your tools + your knowledge — all in one interface
Guru GPT works with your existing stack by leveraging the content you already have in Guru. Guru syncs with tools like:
- Salesforce
- Asana
- Shortcut
- Any content stored in Guru Cards
- Plus many, many more!
As long as Guru has access to it, Guru GPT can surface it in ChatGPT.
Secure data control
Guru GPT respects your company’s security posture. Only users with access to Guru can retrieve content, and all responses are permission-aware—meaning users can only see what they’re allowed to access in Guru.
Guru GPT adheres to your organization’s OpenAI license terms, not Guru’s privacy policy. Each tier of ChatGPT offers a different level of data retention and training customization. Retention and training preferences align with your plan selection from ChatGPT, which are all listed on OpenAI.
